Using Your Benefits

Did you know that you can use SNAP/EBT and WIC/FMNP benefits at the market? Here is how to make the most of them

The Baltimore Farmers’ Market offers a Maryland Market Money (MMM) matching cap of $30 per customer per day. Essentially, we will match up to $30 of any federal nutrition benefits spent in a single Market day. If you spend $30, you will get an additional $30 in MMM tokens. If you spend more, you will still get $30 in MMM tokens.

SNAP/EBT and eWIC can be used at the Market all season, while FMNP checks are typically distributed around June or July. Here’s how to make the most of your benefits at the Market in four easy steps:

MMM removes economic barriers for Marylanders experiencing food insecurity by providing a dollar-for-dollar match for purchases made using federal nutrition benefits at participating Maryland farmers markets, farm stands, and CSAs.
